Regal Ware Continues Support of Higher Education

Kewaskum, Wisconsin (March 1, 2007) –Regal Ware’s scholarship program was established in 1963 in honor of the housewares firm’s founder, the late J.O. Reigle.  The award recognizes the outstanding scholastic achievements of one or more graduating seniors at Kewaskum High School, and is designed to assist the recipients in their pursuit of a college education.  To be eligible for the $18,000 J.O. Reigle Scholarship a student must have attended Kewaskum High School for at least the previous 2 years, and maintained at least a “B” average for the first 3½ years of high school. Each student will receive $4,500 per year for each of their 4-year college programs.

    This year’s recipients are Bekki Heberer and Lindsay Krautkramer .

Bekki, daughter of Randy and Janet Heberer of Kewaskum, plans to attend Marquette University this Fall to study in the Physician’s Assistant field.  Her high school activities include National Honor Society, student council, yearbook staff, volleyball, and fastpitch.  Bekki is also involved in club volleyball and medical explorers; has participated in youth outreach activities, and serves as a volunteer at Kathy Hospice.

Lindsay is the daughter of Ross and Sandra Krautkramer of Kewaskum.  Her activities at Kewaskum High School include serving as secretary of the National Honor Society, captain of the dance team, and drum major of the marching band.  She is a member of the Key club, Spanish club, swing choir, and the varsity soccer team.  Out-of-school activities include singing and playing piano.  Lindsay plans to study music at Lawrence University, Viterbo, UW-Steven’s Point, or Carthage College, with her goal being a teaching degree.
