Regal Ware Among Best Plans Selected for Industry Week Tours

Kewaskum, WI (April 4, 2008)

Regal Ware Worldwide hosted 70 people for plant tours as part of Industry Week’s ’08 Best Plants Conference which was held April 1-3 in Milwaukee.  The tours were conducted April 1 and 2 at Regal Ware’s Schmidt Road facility in West Bend.  Regal Ware was among a select group of industry leaders targeted for tours during the conference to showcase operational excellence in action.  Other companies highlighted were Miller Brewing Company, Quad Graphics, John Deere, Signicast Corporation, Gardner Denver, and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

In opening remarks to the tour groups Regal Ware’s President and CEO Jeff Reigle said, “We are now in our third year of focusing on Lean principles in the operation of our business.  ‘Lean’ is a way of life for our company because it gives results; and those results allow us to remain committed to manufacturing the majority of our products right here in West Bend and Kewaskum, Wisconsin, USA. This continuous improvement management approach focuses on driving all waste out of all operations; and the result is better value for our customers”

That sentiment was mirrored during a product demonstration conducted as part of the tour by Regal Ware customer John LaBracke, President of Waukesha-based Lifetime Cookware Associates.  “The quality of the product is certain,” said LaBracke.  “And with the improvements that have been made in Regal Ware’s manufacturing facility in West Bend I can place an order on Wednesday morning and have it available to ship out of my warehouse by the following Wednesday.  This allows me to order what I need, when I need it, which obviously helps with cash flow for our business.  I know I can count on my order being ready when I’ve asked for it; and everyone in my organization feels good knowing that our products are made to the highest standards and will perform at a consistently high level.”

Tour guests at the Regal Ware facility included manufacturing leaders from companies as diverse as Abbott Diabetes Care, Bucyrus International, Ford Motor Company, and Nestle.
