Regal Ware Awards $56,000 in College Scholarships to Two Kewaskum Seniors
Kewaskum, Wisconsin (February 21, 2022) – Sophia Gerhartz and Kelli Sullivan are the 2022 recipients of the J.O. Reigle Scholarships awarded annually by Regal Ware, a family-owned business that’s been operating in Wisconsin for more than 100 years. The scholarship program was established in 1963 in honor of Regal Ware’s founder, the late J.O. Reigle.
The award recognizes the outstanding scholastic achievements of one or more graduating high school seniors at Kewaskum High School. To be eligible for the $28,000 J.O. Reigle Scholarship, a student must have attended Kewaskum for at least the previous 2 years and maintained at least a “B” average for the first 3½ years of high school.
Sophia Gerhartz plans to pursue a law degree with a specialization in medical law. Sophia has served in leadership roles in the Key Club, Mock Trial, and the National Honor Society. She has been a longtime volunteer for the KEYS 5K Run/Walk and serves as a worship leader in her youth group. She also tutored a 4th grade ESL student weekly. Her hobbies include piano and organizing.
Kelli Sullivan plans to study biology and music. During her four years at Kewaskum High School she was involved with the Student Council, National Honor Society, and the A Capella Choir. She also served as dance captain of the Kewaskum High School musical. Her volunteer activities include Feed My Starving Children and the Kewaskum Theatre Company, as well as ten years with the Kewaskum Plant Sale Fundraiser. Her hobbies include reading, drawing, and hiking with her dog.
